The Fit & Style
Elusiv Longsleeves make the man look fantastic and feel fantastic. The fit is designed to flatter the male physique which you can wear true to size or for a more relaxed fit, size up a level. They are a slightly longer length which is great for taller men with a hugging fit through the arms.
All Longsleeve Ts are anchored by a rivet on the centre back of the T, a representation of Dunedin, New Zealand where Elusiv was born.
The Fabric
Super soft fabric that will hold its shape and stand the test of time. 95% cotton and 5% lycra. The cotton means it will breathe and feel super comfy. The lycra in this T shirt allows it to hold its shape wash after wash and always come out looking fantastic.
The Print
Fusion = the joining of things together.
This design was inspired by the art of “Ta Moko” or tattooing. Though the markings are very distinct, a lot of cultural similarities remain. Practically all of Polynesia practiced the art of tattooing, and they did so in startlingly similar ways. Tattoo art was very important in the Polynesian culture. Because there was no written language, tattoos were used to depict social status, family history, spirituality, animals, land and surroundings.
The overall design represents migration. It symbolises exploration, voyage, travel and movement toward the shores of Aotearoa (Maori word for New Zealand) and celebrates the ancient navigators of the pacific. Many historians believe Polynesians to be the worlds greatest travellers. It is understood that these early explorers possessed sophisticated ancient knowledge of the the stars and ocean currents.
The intricate designs represent the many peoples of the Pacific and depict their ancestral lines. The designs flow together, in and out of each other like the surging waves and swirling, driving winds that brought us all here.
