In August Nicola designed an outfit for Fashioned Feathers, a runway show in Dunedin hosted by Ellis Fibre, where all garments were auctioned off with the proceeds going to ‘Make a Wish Foundation New Zealand’ charity. Below is letter received from the organisers, and photos of the outfit Nicola designed.
Hi Nicola,We wish to send you a huge, sincere thank you for your outstanding designer garment you sent to us for this year’s Fashioned Feathers wearable arts & auction. Not only do we appreciate the time and commitment you have given in your busy schedule but we were also in awe of the creative talent that your design depicted. Your item was auctioned and purchased during the evening, with all proceeds going to our very worthy charity of choice, the Make a Wish Foundation of New Zealand to help make a child’s wish come true. As part of our move to Mt Maunganui, we have set up a Showroom to showcase the current season’s and next season’s range. Anybody and everybody is welcome to come to our premises and check out the gear, retailers and agents alike. There will always be coffee and tea, and beer in the fridge. As Elusiv is growing rapidly, it was necessary for us to relocate to these larger premises with offices, warehousing and showroom facilities. We are stoked with the setup and it will help us go from strength to strength. Elusiv skydiveTuesday, June 3rd, 2008Steven Mathews doing a skydive for us in Elusiv Shirt, Tie and Dress Pants for an upcoming promotional video we are trying to create. He jumped in Glenorchy in Queenstown, New Zealand. Apparently it’s not very comfortable jumping without gloves and goggles as the temperature is minus degrees when they first jump out. Check these pics out! Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber wearing Elusiv in late February while in Dunedin when they were filming for the latest X-Men movie. They were awesome guys, really relaxed and loved the Ts, they wore them more than once while trying to get big in the gym. We would like to thank them for their generosity in letting us take the photo Apparently the filming in Dunedin was for a fight scene between Wolverine (Jackman) and Sabretooth (Schreiber). I don’t imagine Wolverine would be very subtle, discreet, or elusive in this fight…

I have a concern. 2008 is to be the year that we get our online endeavours sorted out. Absolutely crucial to this is web traffic. However, it has come to my attention that many people are typing ‘elusive’ into search engines, rather than elusiv. It will mostly be people who are only recently familiar with the Elusiv clothing brand and haven’t remembered how it is spelt probably. I need to be able to get the Elusiv site popping up in results when elusive is used for a search. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can do this, would be much appreciated. Cheers Ben |
